The Jihadi Big Tent

By Ariel Cohen - August 14, 2006 12:00 AM

Three pro-terror demonstrations held this past Saturday -- at the White House in Washington, D.C., in San Francisco and Los Angeles -- provide insight into the global networks that support jihadi Islamic fascists. On the same day, pro-Hezbollah, anti-U.S. and anti-Israel demonstrations took place in the streets of Mombasa, Kenya; Madrid, Spain; Damascus, Syria; Islamist-controlled Mogadishu, Somalia; Dhaka, Bangladesh; Karachi, Pakistan; and Jakarta, Indonesia, to name just a few.

The U.S. demonstrations were organized by ANSWER -- which stands for Act Now to Stop War and End Racism -- a coalition of leftists, "anti-war" and Hamas- and Hezbollah-supporting Arab Muslim organizations.

It is important to understand precisely what causes ANSWER serves. The organizer of Saturday's outrage was a Brian Becker, leader of the Liberation and Socialism Party, which recently split from the (Stalinist) World Workers' Party.

ANSWER supports and promotes jihadi terrorism and seeks to help defeat the U.S. efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Its leaders also refuse to acknowledge Hamas and Hezbollah terrorism and advocacy of the destruction of the State of Israel.

As police in Britain, Italy, and Ohio were busy arresting suspected airliner bombers, money launderers, and untraceable detonator/cell phone providers, the ANSWER demonstrations demanded that the U.S. lay off terrorists, close down the prison at Guantanamo, and keep the country's borders open.

In the past, such people were called The Fifth Column, as the pro-fascist forces in Republican Madrid during the Spanish Civil War of the 1930s were known.

Today's Fifth Column glorifies the global jihad against the West. ANSWER's demonstration co-sponsors, the National Council of Arab Americans (NCA), the Muslim American Society and the Arab Anti-Discrimination League hide behind slogans decrying civilian losses in Lebanon, ignoring the killing and wounding of civilians in Israel (many of them Arab Israelis, by the way) engineered by Hezbollah's rockets.

A recent ANSWER demonstration in San Francisco featured chants of "Palestine will be free from the river to the sea" and "Palestine is our country, the Jews are our dogs." An ANSWER spokesman refused to condemn such hate speech, according to a report by Mark Matthews of San Francisco's ABC7.

A key player in organizing this weekend's hate fest was Ramsey Clark, former Attorney General under President Lyndon B. Johnson, who never met a dictator he didn't like. Clark justified the Ayatollah Khomeini's hostage taking in the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and hobnobbed with Libya's Muammar Qadaffi.

For over 12 years Clark has been connected to the Workers World Party (WWP), which splintered from the Trotskyite movement in the 1950s, and became Orthodox Stalinist. Clark represented Radovan Karadzic, an indicted Bosnian Serb war criminal and met with Slobodan Milosevic when he was a wanted man in Belgrade, calling him "brave, objective, and moral." In 1990, Clark led a WWP effort to prevent President George H.W. Bush from going after Saddam. Since then, he has never ceased advocating for the mustachioed dictator.

Other ANSWER members include extreme old and "new Left" activists, from Stalinists to Maoists, and such blasts from the past as the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) and the Trotskyite Socialist Workers Party. ANSWER's "big tent" also includes pro-Saddam mouthpieces and North Korean front organizations.

There are important lessons to be learned from the recent ANSWER demonstrations. With security services world wide working to wrap up the aborted London attacks, policy makers need to recognize the public dimension of the terror war -- the battlefront of symbols, images and ideas, and their influence on diplomacy and warfare. So far, jihadi supporters seem to have the upper hand.

During the Cold War, Soviet-funded front organizations tried to disarm the West, whether that meant supporting the North Vietnamese or attempting to prevent deployment of the U.S. Pershing missiles in Europe. Today's jihadi supporters are working to delegitimize any effort to protect against or respond to terrorist networks. Tracking the leadership and funding of such networks is a counter-terrorist policy imperative.

Finally, there is a lesson about moderate and radical Muslims. No doubt, the tip which led to the bust-up of the most recent terror attempt in London demonstrates the importance of high quality intelligence gathering, for which it is vital to keep good relations in the Muslim community. It is crucial to boost moderate Muslims and learn to distinguish between terrorist organizers, their unwitting prey within the Muslim community, and alternative, moderate Muslim leaderships which seek to practice and teach Islam as a religion rather than a political tool for promoting hatred.

At the same time, it is crucial to recognize that some in the Muslim community and among leftist organizations such as ANSWER are operating a global network which not only provides public support to the likes of Hezbollah, but also may serve as a recruitment pool for suspected terrorists such as those apprehended in Great Britain and Michigan.

I saw the demonstrations in DC last Saturday.
They were not "pro-terror". It was a demonstration to ask the US government to support an end of Isreal's murder of innocent people in their indiscriminant bombing raids.

So Ariel Cohen ranks amoung those who will lie to promote their zionist cause.

What is new? Nothing as far as I can see.

concerning "indiscriminate" bombing raids
You should check out this link: http://www.zombietime.com/reuters_photo_fraud/

They also self-flagellate
It's amazing that God made so many morons. He must really like them.

I have often wondered how much treason Ramsey Clark actually perpetrated as Attorney General --- a Cabinet position. He was, at the same time, privy to national security issues and supporting our enemies. Come to think of it --- he's still supporting our enemies. Maybe the next time he goes to Iraq to defend Saddam, we'll be lucky enough for an IED to take him out.

BTW: I STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE TO READ Robert Spencer's "Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)" --- amazon.com, $12.97. It is well-researched, referrenced, confirms much of my own extensive research and will scare the crap out of you because it is 100% true.

And so...
What is your point?

Perhaps the saying that "all's fair in war" applies here.

Supressing information is really no different than manufacturing information.

The net result is the same. People lie to achieve thier goals in both cases.

Moreover, anyone that turns to a blogger or blog site for the truth needs to have their head examined.

my point
My point was simply that it's dishonest to call Israel's bombing indiscriminate. Israel targets militants who hide behind civilians. Militants who do not wish to compromise. Militants who manipulate the media to their ends. Militants who have declared that their sole aim is to push Israel into the sea, and cause as many civilian casualities as possible.
If you wish to identify truly indiscriminate bombing, look no further than HB's missle attacks that deliberately target civilians.
I guess there's no truth to be found outside of what Reuters, CNN, FOX, BBC etc says, huh?
I may need my head examined, but at least I'm not a lemming; merrily marching arm-in-arm with those who wish my violent destruction...

pro-terror
Telling lies in support of terrorists, is by definition, supporting terror.

bloggers
I'm not surprised that stephen is so eager to diss the bloggers.

They've revealed the lies his side has made too many times.

I think he
did that Water To Wine trick at one point during the creation...

And the person who posted that blog is a liar too...
This person ended the slanted photo-exposee with the quote "As the march passed through the city, this lone woman high up in a building waved a small American flag -- the only sign of dissent in sight."

If you go the San Francisco Gate news picture journalism web site at

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/object/article?o=26&f=/c/a/2006/08/12/MNGIAKHHS75.DTL

You will see many more pictues of apparent Zionist waving Israel and American flags and holding signs with slogans like "Islamo-Fascism", "All Countries Have the Right to Defend Against Terrorism", etc. then there are anti-war demonstration pictures.

well not quite
"...
Supressing information is really no different than manufacturing information.
..."

If it is manufactured, then it is not actually information.

Depending on the context, suppressing information is privacy or secrecy.

Both sides manipulate the media.
I have been in Europe and so have not paid much attention to the US press. But I can tell you this, the stories pan out completely different in Europe. For the most part, the US media point of view is thought of as corrupt and right-wing biased over there.

I am still trying to figure out how to protect myself from the onslaught of US news media when over here. It is difficult.

Speaking of propoganda, I was really put off that G W Bush himself used the term "Islamic Fascists" (a term coined by the Zionist neocons) in his comment regarding the UK terrorists arrest last week. Tisk tisk. Our president has bought in lock, stock, and barrel.

Omission is still a lie
We are not talking about privacy or secrecy.

Many believe that Israeli are terrorists.
And we support them.

Where are the 3 kidnapped Israeli soldiers?
They must be thrilled about this ceasefire.

my

I am surprised.
I thought most people in Europe did not understand English.

a liar?
heh, funny but Mr. Zombietime-the-liar linked you through to that SF Gate website at the bottom of his photo essay--because he was trying to hide the truth of course!
If by slanted you mean Mr. Zombietime is one of the few bloggers that actually takes the time to document these marches in all of their ouvert lunacy , then he's guilty as charged. And it's his blog, so he's certainly free to post what he wishes.

Are the people profiled in the pictures...
... at the Zombie Time site in the protests what you want to be associated with?

The pictures don't lie. You just try to discredit one slant with another slant. And fail miserably.

And "Mr." May be a "Miss"
I'd love to find out.

MANY are idiots.
I would trust my life with an Israeli government than any islamic regime anyday. Did you forget that Israel is the only democracy in that wretched part of the world?
Do not bring up Europe...they sicken me to my colon. They surrendered years ago to muslims and are pathetic.
Their policies are all dictated by muslims whether people accept it or not.
LONG LIVE EURABIA!!

RIP EUROPE.

having been in Europe...
I suppose your perspective is enlightened, nuanced, and complex and worth more than those of us who haven't spent the Summer in Europe.
So then, what should Mr. Bush call these people (formerly known as practitioners of the Religion Of Peace) that wish to destroy Western civilization? That'd be the same Western civilization that you inhabit, as much as you may loathe the fact.

sure
Secrecy is exactly what we are talking about.
The disagreement is about what and how much is kept secret.

How are either of these any beter or worse than distraction and influence?
The left builds these wild fantasies about utopian worlds and then drags everyone into debating them as if they were even plausible.

The biggest fantasy is the surrealism reffered to as "government money". It is our money. We only give them permission to use on our behalf.

true enough!
For some reason though I vaguely remember a reference in one of Mr./Miss ZT's other photo-essays that alluded to the fact that "He" was a "He". Though in the Bay Area, gender is always up for debate!

Quite te opposite, actualy.
English is the language of business and technology. There are two official UN languages. So if you speak French and/or English, you can pretty much get by.

Most students learn English as a second language through what we call grade school and high school.

Switzerland has four national languages and most everyone speaks English as well.

Being over there makes one feel like an idiot compared to even the people working in gas stations who can speak several different languages.

He should call them what they are;
Terrorists.

Islamo-fascist is a derogatory term that has little if any connection to the political reality of those groups.

It buys into the capital left over from WW-II american nationalism days. Other than that, it is a term used my ignorants who do not check out the roots and propaganda slingers. I guess Bush could be classified as both of these.

Yes I guess there is much at stake so Israel does want to keep thier actions secret
On the other hand, newspaper reporters should at least tell the truth. But they are apparently afraid to do so in the US.

actually
"...
Though in the Bay Area, gender is always up for debate!"

I think the term is "undefined", like in Toronto, unless of course that is you are a muslim.
In Islam there are three genders - male, female, and dead.

Because the muslims have killed all their gays there is no one left there to design women's clothing.

In Islam women's clothing comes in two styles and two styles only - on and off.

Where were the US hostages taken when Carter was president?
You will notice that Carter was able to free the hostages without violence.

if true, you should have no trouble pointing to numerous examples
What is actually true, is that few news sources are as far to the left as you are, and you insist on believing anything to the right of you is propaganda.

Just because you and a handfull of nutcase friends insist that Bush has been bought off, doesn't make it true. It just shows up the incredible paranoia of the modern left.

I wonder
how exactly is it that the islamo-fascists are making US journalists afraid?

So how is it that he did not see the protest that was right next to the one he covered?
No, he is a liar. Moreover, some of the photographs he claims to have taken are from the SF news web site.

So there are at least two laces where this person lied. And you can see it for yourself.

Of course there are those who would rather turn their head to this and believe whatever they want to believe. And given your comments, I suspect you are in the later group.

many people are idiots
The Israeli's are not terrorists.
They take great pains to avoid killing civilians, even putting their own soldiers in harms way to avoid them.

you forget Desert ONe
second, Carter didn't free the hostages.
The Ayatollah decided to free them once Carter was no longer president.

I already did discredit it.
The woman holding the small US falg in the window was not the only dislay of patriotism. In fact, the Zionists were waving huge US and Israeli flags there as well!

So while the picture may not of lied, the photographer did.

He was refering to those in the parade
I love the way that stephen dismisses anything he disagrees with as lies. Typical liberal.

Two things prove to us that you are a liar too
Because the 1) the woman holding the flag was not in the parade either. She was in a 2nd floor apartment window and 2) he stated that she was "the only sign of dissent in sight".

Mark the Great liar gets caught spinning pure BS once again. LOL

ho boy
Specifically, which photos did he claim to have taken that are from the SF Gate website? And if he did violate copyright laws, why would he link to the website from which he stole them? I realize all Palestinian Kaffiyeh-clad sympathizers tend to look the same after a while, so maybe you are mistaken and they're simply a different photo of the same crowd.
Why is it his duty to cover the counter-protest? Clearly ZombieTime's agenda is posting pictures of Bay Area moonbats on the Internet for all the world to see. There must be a website devoted to covering the counter-protests somewhere. If not, perhaps there's an opportunity for you to show the Zionist agenda to the world in a slick pictorial?

Gee
that would make Europe more English speaking than the United States Canada or Great Britain.

business and technology ?

In Europe ?

Oh but these are all honest businessmen, and noble governments.
Silly me, what need do the the Europeans have of oil?

Is it true that the French and Germans give one half of every barrel of oil and one half of every kilowatt to the world's poor?

you're right!
Thanks for the lesson. It is indeed derotagory to those members of the Religion of Peace who, instead of choosing to live in peace with the world around them, choose to engage in a war with the intent of destroying the West and instituting Allah's Way on us ignorants. That's not Fascist, eh?
Wouldn't want to be confusing Islam with the proliferation of terrorism in the world either. We should be naming the True Enemy of All That is Modern--Buddah!
Nope, no connection.
Nothing to see here, just MoveOn...

now now young person
you did a little bait and switch on the old OSTB.

We started with information.

With all those journalsits over there and all that evil by Israel?
You are now saying that the American press is in colusion with the Bush administration?
Fox news is running the country?

There is no truth in America?

oh brother
"...
Islamo-fascist is a derogatory term that has little if any connection to the political reality of those groups ..."

nonsense

"Word History: It is fitting that the name of an authoritarian political movement like Fascism, founded in 1919 by Benito Mussolini, should come from the name of a symbol of authority. The Italian name of the movement, fascismo, is derived from fascio, “bundle, (political) group,” but also refers to the movement's emblem, the fasces, a bundle of rods bound around a projecting axe-head that was carried before an ancient Roman magistrate by an attendant as a symbol of authority and power. The name of Mussolini's group of revolutionaries was soon used for similar nationalistic movements in other countries that sought to gain power through violence and ruthlessness, such as National Socialism."

What does it matter what you think?

If Islam as practiced through out the world is not by definition "fascist" then you have manufactured your own definition of the word.

I guess you don't speak Italian, or have a clue about Latin.

LOL!
San Fran Gender up for debate... Good one! And if you look at some of the "hall of Shame" ZT photos, it becomes even MORE dubious!

In one of the videos, a protestor mentions ZT and says, "Why doesn't she show her face?" I may defer to someone in San Fran who might have more info on her, or his, ID.

Don't dodge the question.
Do you want to be represented by the people profiled in the pictures?

Liar!
Carter did nothing.

I remember the announcement, right after Regan took his oath, that the hostages were freed.

But then, with Carter being a democrat and currently doing all he can do discredit America, and Regan being a Republican, I can see where you have a need to distort and lie instead of giving credit where it's due.

Frankly, neither one can take the credit. The ayatolla released them on his own.

represented heck, he is the people from the picture.
...

Remember that Song...
"These are the peolel in your neighborhood

In your neighborhood,

In your neighborhooo-oood, Yea!"

Ah. You were trying to formulate a question.
Tres bien. I didn't understand that was what you were attempting to do.

But to answer your question, yes I agree with the right to free speech.

I assume that you do not believe in freedom of speech for those you do not agree with and that is why you tried to formulate your question as an entrapment.

I have a suggestion, take a long cold look at yourelf in the mirror. If you are certain that you are without fault, then go out ad give advise. But before you do, make certain that you have your own act together.

What's a "peolel"?
Im afraid I do not know that song. Is that some Zionio-Fascist war song like the ones that have become so popular across America these past couple weeks?

My mistake
Or is it. there is no time stamp on the Zombie Time web site so I don't know if what I saw was edited out or not.

It is cleaver trick to not put a time stamp on your web pages. That way you can change it anytime you want and there is no accountability.

You're getting warmer
The US does not have a free press, at least not like in Europe.
